The Modi is a single vertical heated rail rather than a ladder: a 900 mm bar of 304 stainless steel with a durable electroplated matte black finish, held off the wall on two round brackets. The top collar slides along the rail, so the fixing points can be anywhere from about 400 to 800 mm apart, which makes it easy to fit over existing plugs or tiles. It draws only 20 W, enough to keep a towel or robe warm and dry rather than to heat the room.
It is a 12 V low-voltage product: you need a separate SELV safety transformer with a constant 12 V output (not included), which is usually hidden in a ceiling void or cupboard and fed from a switched fused connection unit. The rail itself is IP55, but the transformer must sit outside the wet zones, and the whole circuit has to be installed by a qualified electrician to BS 7671 (REBT in Spain). Plan the cable route through the wall behind the electrical bracket before tiling; if you fit several heated rails, the transformer size changes, so check with the electrician.
