The Elysian Heated Towel Ladder is a wide, low rail with five round bars spaced 100 mm apart, made from 304 stainless steel and finished in electroplated matte black. Heat is distributed inside the tubes from a 12 V supply drawing 70 W, which keeps towels warm and dry; it can also be hung upside down to suit the room.
Being a low-voltage product it must be fed through a SELV safety transformer with a constant 12 V AC output, sold separately and installed outside the wet zone, usually switched from a fused connection unit. ABI recommends a rough-in installation with the wiring bracket fixed to the stud work before the wall is finished; fixing centres are 760 mm across and 300 mm down. Installation must be done by a licensed electrician to BS 7671 (REBT in Spain), and the rail itself is IPX4.
