The Quooker Fusion Round combines a normal hot and cold kitchen mixer with an instant boiling-water outlet in one arched spout. It is sold as a system: the polished-chrome tap sits on the worktop and the PRO3 vacuum-insulated tank, which holds 3 litres at 108 °C and dispenses at 100 °C, goes in the cupboard below. Boiling water only flows after the knurled control is pressed twice and turned, and the insulated spout swivels through 360°.
Before buying, check that you have at least 2 bar of cold mains pressure (maximum 6 bar), a 13 A UK socket and access to the water supply within about 50 cm of the tap, and space for a tank about 47 cm high and 15 cm across (plus 8 cm above for the hoses). The tap needs a 35 mm hole in a worktop no thicker than 50 mm; connections are 3/8″ BSP male. The tank draws 1600 W while heating (about 15 minutes from cold) and roughly 10 W on standby.
