Direct Flush Discreet flushes each urinal individually straight from the mains cold supply, so no auto-flush cistern is needed. A small infrared sensor (48 × 48 mm) above the bowl detects the user and flushes two seconds after they leave; if someone is detected during a flush it stops to avoid splashing. After 12 hours without use it runs a hygiene flush. An integral DC pipe interrupter gives fluid category 5 backflow protection without extra check valves. The valve (41 × 200 × 82 mm) is concealed behind the panel or in the wall cavity.
Rear access to the cavity is needed for servicing; where there is none, the Accessible (DFA) version is the alternative. The supply must be 0.5 to 6 bar, the connection is 1/2″ BSP (15 mm) and the unit runs on four AA batteries (about 2 years) or a 6 V DC mains adaptor on a 1 A fused spur – both are included. Flush time (7 s default) and sensor range are adjustable; IP65.
