BS6001 is a modern, square-edged basin from the German brand Bernstein, moulded in glossy white cast marble (Gussmarmor). The 600 mm version is 370 mm deep and about 147 mm tall, with a 100 mm deep bowl and a flat rear deck carrying one pre-drilled tap hole (35 mm). The drain is hidden under a removable cover made of the same cast marble, giving the bowl a smooth, uninterrupted look.
It can hang on the wall using the pre-drilled fixing holes (280 mm apart) and the supplied kit, or sit on a counterboard; a standard basin frame can also be used. There is no overflow and the drain has no plug, so water always runs away — fine for hand washing, less so for filling the basin. Fit a deck mixer in the tap hole (not included) and a standard trap to the 45 mm outlet. Other widths (50–120 cm) and versions without a tap hole exist.
Specifications come from Bernstein’s own shop and its drawings, which prevail if anything differs. Bernstein does not state a separate manufacturer guarantee for this basin; the statutory guarantee applies.
