The Atenas pedestal basin is a classic, neoclassical-looking washbasin made in Spain by Fossil Natura in glazed white vitreous ceramic. A wide rectangular bowl with softly rounded edges is framed by a raised rim that runs along the back and sides, and the basin sits on a column pedestal with a stepped foot. The set (reference 00079) includes both the basin and the pedestal.
The basin measures 610 mm wide and 520 mm from the wall, with an overall height of 805 mm on its 640 mm pedestal. It has one centre tap hole (35 mm) for a monobloc mixer and an integrated overflow, so it needs a slotted waste of 45 mm; tap, waste and trap are bought separately. The pedestal hides the trap, so plan the supply and waste pipes within its footprint, check that the wall can take the basin fixings, and confirm the bowl height suits the users before installing.
All figures come from the Fossil Natura product page and technical sheet, which prevail over this summary if anything differs. Fossil Natura states a 5-year guarantee on its ceramic pieces, in addition to the statutory guarantee.
