This GROHE Start set is a built-in single-lever mixer for a bath with shower, supplied with both the concealed rough-in body and the visible trim. The metal lever operates a SilkMove 46 mm ceramic cartridge for smooth control of flow and temperature, and an automatic diverter sends water to the bath spout or to the shower and returns to the bath when the mixer is turned off. An adjustable flow limiter is built in and an optional temperature limiter is available. The round metal escutcheon is Ø163 mm with GROHE’s LongLife chrome finish.
The rough-in body is installed in the wall before tiling and has G1/2″ connections for the hot and cold supplies, the bath spout and the shower outlet; GROHE’s drawing allows 77–107 mm installation depth, so check the wall build-up. Spout, shower head or riser are bought separately. As a manual mixer it suits combi boilers and unvented or pumped systems with balanced pressures; flow is about 19 l/min at 3 bar.
All information is taken from GROHE’s specification sheet, product page and dimension drawing, which prevail. GROHE shows a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty for this article, in addition to the statutory guarantee.
