The Waterdrop M6HG is a plug-in countertop RO system that needs no plumbing. Water poured into its 5.5 l feed tank passes through an 8-stage M6RFG cartridge (carbon, scale inhibitor, 0.0001 µm RO membrane, mineral stage) and is dispensed at room temperature or heated instantly to selectable temperatures up to 95 °C. Tap and waste water are kept in fully separate tanks, and a touch panel with voice prompts handles volume presets, favourites and filter alerts. A detachable 1.2 l glass pitcher sits beside the unit.
Allow a socket and roughly 40 x 24 cm of worktop with about 15 cm free above the unit to lift out the tank; the waste tank must be emptied by hand. With 3:1 pure-to-drain and a 12-month cartridge it is aimed at 2–3 person households, renters and kitchens without under-sink space; the hot function replaces a kettle for drinks.
