The Waterdrop G5P500A is a slim tankless reverse osmosis purifier for under the sink. Two quick-change cartridges – a composite CF filter and an RO membrane cartridge – give eight stages in total, including a remineralisation stage that adds calcium, magnesium and potassium back to the purified water for a slightly alkaline taste. An internal pump produces up to 500 gallons per day, with two parts of pure water for every part sent to drain.
The system works on cold municipal water at 1–6 bar and 5–38 °C and needs a socket for its 100–240 V adapter. Allow about 42 × 14.5 × 35 cm under the sink, a 1″ hole for the supplied mechanical faucet and a drain point for the 1/4″ waste line; the feed adapter and tubing are in the box. Replace the CF cartridge about every 6 months and the RO cartridge about every 24 months.
