The Mistral 33 5M V 02 from ESPA’s Leader range is a horizontal multistage centrifugal pump (five technopolymer impellers in a cast-iron, cataphoresis-coated body) supplied ready to use with the Kit 02 electronic pressure controller mounted on the outlet. The controller switches the pump on when a tap opens and off when demand stops, blocks dry running and avoids water hammer without any air pre-charge.
It is meant for clean water at up to 40 °C, for example boosting a house fed from a tank or cistern, or garden use from a well; with a foot valve on the suction pipe it lifts water from up to several metres below the pump. Use 1″ pipework on both sides, install it in a dry, ventilated place protected from frost and rain, and connect it to an earthed 230 V socket protected by a 30 mA RCD. Consumption above about 1 l/min keeps the pump running continuously, so check dripping taps and cistern valves.
