The UPS2 25-80 is the high-efficiency successor to Grundfos’s long-running UPS 25-55 and 25-80 circulators. It has an ECM permanent-magnet motor, an electrocoated cast-iron housing with 180 mm port-to-port length and G 1½ connections, and one button to choose between three proportional-pressure curves and three fixed speeds.
It is intended for bigger houses, underfloor heating manifolds, and light commercial heating circuits that need more head than a standard 15-50 or 15-60 pump. Check the port-to-port length of the pump being replaced (180 mm here; 130 mm pumps need the UPS2 15 or 25 series instead), the condition of the gate valves or pump valves, and that the system pressure stays below 10 bar and the water between 2 and 95 °C. Wiring is via the supplied plug connector to a 230 V fused supply.
