This is a complete close-coupled toilet from Roca’s The Gap Round collection with a D-Trit macerator built into the back of the pan and hidden by the ceramic. The pack contains the rimless vitreous-china pan, the cistern with a 4.5/3 litre dual-flush mechanism, a soft-close Supralit seat and lid, the outlet elbow and fixings. It measures 640 × 370 × 810 mm and weighs 53 kg.
It allows a WC to be installed where there is no gravity soil pipe, such as basements, extensions or rooms far from the stack: the macerator shreds the waste and pumps it up to 6 m vertically through 22 or 32 mm pipe. Before buying, check the route and height to the nearest drain, the position of the water supply (bottom inlet to the cistern), and that a 230 V socket or fused connection on an RCD-protected circuit can be placed behind the unit; it is IPX4 and must not be hosed down. In Spain the CTE HS5 asks for gravity drainage where it is possible, so this solution is used where it is not.
