The Showermate Standard S1.5 Bar Twin is a compact twin-head peripheral pump that boosts the hot and cold feeds equally. It has a continuously rated induction motor with auto-reset thermal trip, a flow switch that starts it at about 0.8 l/min, dry-run protection, anti-vibration feet and four 15 mm push-fit flexible hoses, and it is pre-wired with a 1.5 m cable.
It is only for open-vented (gravity) systems with a cold tank and hot cylinder, in positive-head positions where there is already more than 2 l/min flowing at the outlet; it must not be used on combi, unvented or mains-pressure systems. Expect about 1.1 bar at 9 l/min. Fit it at or below the base of the cold tank, use a dedicated hot draw-off (e.g. Surrey/Essex flange) and connect it to a fused 230 V spur with a 5 A fuse; enclosure is IP22, so keep it out of the shower zones.
