The UPA 15-120 is Grundfos’s plug-and-pump home booster: a single-speed wet-rotor circulator with cast-iron housing (EN-GJL-150), a PP-GF30 composite impeller and a patented built-in flow switch that starts the pump when a tap is opened and stops it when it closes. Wet-rotor construction keeps it practically silent, and it is internally thermally protected.
It suits flats and houses with low network pressure or a roof-top tank, and instantaneous gas water heaters that need more inlet pressure; it can serve several taps at once. Install it in line on the supply with 1″ connections and 200 mm between ports, with the motor shaft horizontal and the arrow in the flow direction, and plug it into an earthed Schuko socket. Check local water-company rules before pumping directly from the network; water may be 2–95 °C and system pressure up to 10 bar.
