SCALA2 is Grundfos’s all-in-one domestic pressure set: a multistage centrifugal pump, frequency converter, pressure and flow sensors, non-return valve and control panel built into one composite housing, with no external pressure vessel. The speed of the motor follows the water demand, so pressure at the taps stays constant whether one or several outlets are open. This is the current version, product number 93013252.
Typical uses are boosting supply from a storage tank, well or rainwater cistern, or raising low supply pressure in a house where local rules allow direct boosting. Grundfos allows a maximum inlet pressure of 6 bar. Check the available space (about 403 × 193 × 302 mm), a frost-free position, a 1″ R threaded connection on suction and delivery, and a protected 230 V socket; in Spain the installation must follow the CTE HS4 water-supply rules and, for mains connections, the requirements of the local water company.
