The Stiebel Eltron DCE-X 10/12 Premium is a small, fully electronic instantaneous water heater with a bare-wire heating system in a 372 x 217 x 109 mm white plastic case. Its 4i control holds the set temperature (20–60 °C, limit selectable at 43, 50 or 55 °C) as flow changes, and the backlit display shows flow, energy use and two memory settings; an ECO function limits flow.
Plan the electrics first: at 230 V it draws 47.8 A (11 kW) or 57 A (13.1 kW), so it needs a dedicated single-phase circuit with a 50 or 60 A protective device and suitable cable sized by an electrician. Water needs at least 1.8 bar supply pressure and no more than 10 bar; connections are G 1/2 A male and the unit switches on at 1.3 l/min. It mounts over or under the sink with pressure-type taps.
All data are taken from the Stiebel Eltron technical datasheet and installation manual, which prevail. Stiebel Eltron UK gives a 2-year parts and labour guarantee, in addition to statutory rights.
