The Zip Aquapoint 4 Smart AP430S is a wall-mounted unvented storage water heater holding 30 litres. Its glass-lined steel container is tested to 13 bar, protected by a sacrificial anode and wrapped in high-performance foam, and a 2.0 kW element at 230 V heats it in about an hour. Temperature is electronically controlled between 10 and 75 °C; the SmartEco mode tracks use over seven days to cut energy, and an anti-legionella function periodically sterilises the tank. The body is 420 x 445 x 510 mm (W x D x H) and weighs 19 kg empty.
Because it is unvented, it feeds taps at mains pressure and can serve more than one outlet, for example in offices, cafés or flats without a cylinder. The “S” version comes with the install kit (expansion vessel and inlet control group) and a factory-fitted pressure and temperature relief valve; the discharge must be piped to a safe point and the installation must comply with Building Regulations G3. Supply pressure should be at least 1 bar, and the inlet control limits it to 5.5 bar. It plugs into a 13 A fused supply and is rated IP24. Connections are 1/2″ BSP.
