The Santon Aquaheat AH7 is a compact unvented storage water heater holding 7 litres, designed to sit under a basin or sink with its pipe connections on top. Its element is rated 2.2 kW at 240 V (2.0 kW at 230 V); the container is rated at 0.6 MPa (6 bar) and protected by a 6 bar pressure relief valve. The unit is 356 mm high, 240 mm wide and 240 mm deep and weighs 4.9 kg empty and 11.9 kg full; it comes with a 0.75 m three-core cable fitted.
Because it is unvented it supplies a normal mixer tap at mains pressure, which suits cloakrooms, offices and kitchens far from the main cylinder. The minimum inlet pressure is 0.8 bar; below 15 litres no expansion vessel is required when the static supply stays under 4.1 bar, but above that a pressure-reducing valve must be fitted (Santon’s instructions show both layouts). Inlet and outlet are 15 mm copper for compression fittings, and the relief valve discharge must run continuously downwards to a tundish and a safe point. Supply it through a double-pole isolating switch with 3 mm contact separation.
Specifications come from the Santon Aquaheat installation and user instructions published by Heatrae Sadia, which prevail if anything differs. The Santon warranty card gives 2 years, in addition to statutory rights.
