The Zip Aquapoint III AP3/10/OB is a compact unvented storage water heater for oversink mounting. A 2.0 kW embedded element heats a 10-litre glass-enamelled steel tank, tested to 12 bar and protected by a sacrificial anode, inside an impact-resistant white case of 350 x 265 x 480 mm. An external thermostat sets 9–75 °C with frost protection and a neon shows when the element is on.
As an unvented heater it feeds ordinary taps or mixers at mains pressure, but UK Building Regulations G3 apply: the supplied expansion relief valve (6 bar) must discharge safely to waste. Minimum supply pressure is 1 bar; connections are 1/2″ BSP compression, the unit is wired to a 13 A double-pole fused spur, and Zip advises checking the anode every 6 months.
