The Redring Powerstream RPS95 is a slim inline instantaneous water heater that heats mains water as it flows, with no tank and no standing losses. The 9.5 kW element sits in a 160 x 307 x 74 mm casing rated IPX4, and it can be mounted upright or lengthways under a basin; it serves up to two basins with pillar taps, or a basin plus a shower when used with Redring’s mixer.
It is a high-current appliance: about 41 A at 230 V, so it needs its own circuit with a 40 A device and 6 mm² cable (10 mm² on longer runs) installed under BS 7671. Dynamic pressure must be at least 0.7 bar for basins or 1.0 bar for a shower and no more than 10.3 bar; flow is roughly 3–6 l/min at a 30 °C rise. Not for baths, kitchen sinks or mixer taps; a service valve on the inlet is required.
