The Heatrae Sadia Express 7/3 is a traditional vented point-of-use water heater: a 7-litre unpressurised container in a tough metal case of 499 x 263 x 250 mm, heated by a 3 kW element (2.8 kW at 230 V) with an adjustable thermostat from 5 to 75 °C and a thermal cut-out. It is supplied with its swivel spout and inlet control valve, and recovers quickly — around 9 minutes for a 50 °C rise.
Because it is an open-outlet heater, the tank is never under mains pressure: the cold main is connected through the supplied control valve using 15 mm pipe and hot water leaves through the spout, so no expansion vessel or G3 notification is needed, but ordinary taps or mixers cannot be used (undersink installation needs a vented tap pack). Wire it to a 13 A fused spur with at least 1.5 mm² cable. It weighs about 5 kg empty and 12 kg full.
