The Cointra CAMI 6 b is a small instantaneous gas water heater for bottled butane or propane. It heats water only while a tap is open, using a cooled low-NOx burner (class 6, under 56 mg/kWh) that modulates between roughly 5.4 and 10.4 kW of output. Ignition runs on two 1.5 V batteries, so there is no permanent pilot flame and no mains socket is needed. Safety devices cover flame ionisation, heat-exchanger overheating, flue-gas spillage (TTB) and frost. The white casing measures 560 x 280 x 185 mm and the unit weighs 8.5 kg empty.
At 6 litres per minute (25 K temperature rise) the heater serves one outlet at a time, such as a kitchen sink or a single shower in mild weather; in winter the same flow comes out cooler. It needs at least 0.2 bar of water pressure and accepts up to 10 bar, with 1/2″ gas, cold and hot connections. This is an atmospheric, open-flue (B11BS) appliance: it must be connected to a natural-draught flue and installed by a registered gas installer. Under Spanish RITE rules atmospheric heaters are limited to outdoor locations and plant rooms, and some regions such as the Community of Madrid do not allow them inside the dwelling. The butane/propane version cannot run on natural gas without the manufacturer conversion.
Specifications are taken from Cointra product documentation (datasheet, installation manual and energy label), which prevails in case of any difference. Cointra gives 2 years of full guarantee and 3 years on spare parts, in addition to the statutory guarantee.
