The Cointra TDF Plus 50 is a vertical electric storage water heater with a 47.5-litre tank and a 1.5 kW element coated with Cointra’s Blue Forever anti-scale finish. The magnesium anode is separate from the element to limit scale build-up, insulation is CFC-free high-density polyurethane, and the digital touch panel shows and sets the water temperature between 30 and 75 °C and displays error codes. A Smart function adapts heating to the household’s habits (Cointra quotes up to 20 % savings) and an automatic anti-legionella cycle runs periodically. It measures 572 mm high, 438 mm in diameter and 462 mm deep.
With load profile M and about 1,316 kWh a year, it suits a small household with one shower. Reheating from 15 to 40 °C takes around an hour. It is for vertical installation only (horizontal models are the 80 H and 100 H), needs a wall able to carry about 65 kg when full, a 230 V earthed supply and 1/2″ water connections; the maximum working pressure is 8 bar, so fit the supplied safety valve and a pressure reducer if the mains is higher. Cointra advises a softener with water above 25 °F hardness.

The stated guarantee is 2 years in full, and Cointra gives 5 years on the tank subject to annual anode checks from the second year, in addition to the statutory guarantee.
